Title IX

It is the policy of the Millcreek Township School District to maintain an environment for learning and working that is free from discrimination, harassment, sex-based harassment, and Title IX sex-based harassment, as defined by applicable law, and such conduct is prohibited.  

The District complies with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex or gender in all District educational programs, activities, and employment practices.

The District shall respond promptly and effectively to reports of sex discrimination and sex-based harassment in accordance with Board policy, administrative regulations, and applicable Title IX grievance procedures.  Retaliation against any individual for reporting or participating in the investigation of alleged discrimination or harassment is prohibited. 

Inquiries regarding the application of Title IX to the District may be referred to the Title IX Coordinator, the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education, or both.
